Eating Disorder Service Review
Posted: 18th December 2019To support service improvements and development of the community eating disorder services in line with the eating disorder guidance for children, young people and their families, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust recently had a peer-review visit from the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ ‘Quality Improvement Network for Community Eating Disorder Services for Children, Young People and their Families’ (QNCC-ED).

West Lancashire schools to benefit from new emotional wellbeing initiative

Two New Primary Mental Health Workers in Fylde and Wyre
Posted: 18th December 2019The team has recently welcomed two new additions who will work primarily in Fylde and Wyre. Joanne Collins and Lucy Fennucci are the new Primary Mental Health Workers (PMHWs) who will be the link in with schools across the area.

New Mental Health Support Teams in Morecambe, Furness and Blackburn with Darwen
Posted: 18th December 2019In 2020, training will commence for four new Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs). During the first year, teams will initially start working with a small number of schools whilst training is completed. In the fullness of time, the project has the potential to reach over 80 schools and colleges, supporting in excess of 32,000 children and young people across Morecambe, Furness and Blackburn with Darwen.
