Lancashire Emotional Health in School Services (LEHSS) Update

Get involved in the Prince’s Trust Programme
The Prince’s Trust is starting a new programme in February 2020 and they are looking for Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET)16-25 year olds to take part. The Team Programme is a full-time personal development course that is run in Lancaster and Morecambe by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. Nine topic pages receive positive feedback from education professionals
The communications and engagement team for the Transformation Programme have been undertaking face to face engagement with groups of professionals, including mental health champions and learning mentors, across Lancashire and South Cumbria to gather feedback on the first nine topic pages to be launched on the Healthy Young Minds (HYM) website: https://www.healthyyoungmindslsc.co.uk/information/professionals. The pages have been well received, with some professionals already telling us that the resources they found on the webpages have assisted them in their role with supporting children and young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
CAMHS Office Filming Update
The project is still in the editing stages of producing a short video of a tour of Fylde Coast CAMHS for children and young people attending appointments there. The young people at Entwined Minds have now recorded the voiceover for the film and are looking forward to sharing the completed project with you in the New Year.
Eating Disorder Service Review
To support service improvements and development of the community eating disorder services in line with the eating disorder guidance for children, young people and their families, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust recently had a peer-review visit from the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ ‘Quality Improvement Network for Community Eating Disorder Services for Children, Young People and their Families’ (QNCC-ED).
West Lancashire schools to benefit from new emotional wellbeing initiative
Funding has been agreed by the West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group for a new and exciting initiative. It will form part of Lancashire and South Cumbria’s transformation of children and young people’s emotional wellbeing services.
