AMBIT Trainers Launch Day
Posted: 8th January 2020On 5 December 2019 MBCCG hosted the launch of the Lancashire and South Cumbria AMBIT trainers. These trainers, who are employed across various sectors including Health, Local Authority and VCFS in a variety of roles including adoption support and CYP residential care have completed five days of 'Train the Trainer' AMBIT training. 55 professionals completed the 'Train the Trainer' AMBIT course during 2019, over four cohorts across the Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

Posted: 7th January 2020We have reached that time of year when we are considering our priorities for the next financial year (2020/21) and refreshing our Transformation Plan for Lancashire and South Cumbria accordingly. As we have in previous years, we’re seeking input from all our stakeholders including professionals, children, young people and their parents/carers/families, to ensure we continue to direct our plans in line with the feedback from those that currently receive or will use our services in the future.

Carlisle Eden Mind offer FREE self-harm and suicide alertness training
Posted: 18th December 2019Carlisle Eden Mind are offering free training for professionals working with children and young people, funded by Cumbria County Council. The training workshops will include case studies, videos and group sessions and will take place all over Cumbria.

New Lancashire and South Cumbria Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic and Assessment Pathway
Posted: 18th December 2019The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Inspection in Lancashire took place in November 2017. One of the significant areas of concern raised was that ‘ASD diagnostic pathways across Lancashire are of very poor quality’.

Get involved in the Prince’s Trust Programme
Posted: 18th December 2019The Prince’s Trust is starting a new programme in February 2020 and they are looking for Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET)16-25 year olds to take part. The Team Programme is a full-time personal development course that is run in Lancaster and Morecambe by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. Nine topic pages receive positive feedback from education professionals
Posted: 18th December 2019The communications and engagement team for the Transformation Programme have been undertaking face to face engagement with groups of professionals, including mental health champions and learning mentors, across Lancashire and South Cumbria to gather feedback on the first nine topic pages to be launched on the Healthy Young Minds (HYM) website: https://www.healthyyoungmindslsc.co.uk/information/professionals. The pages have been well received, with some professionals already telling us that the resources they found on the webpages have assisted them in their role with supporting children and young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

CAMHS Office Filming Update
Posted: 18th December 2019The project is still in the editing stages of producing a short video of a tour of Fylde Coast CAMHS for children and young people attending appointments there. The young people at Entwined Minds have now recorded the voiceover for the film and are looking forward to sharing the completed project with you in the New Year.
