AMBIT Trainers Launch Day
On 5 December 2019 MBCCG hosted the launch of the Lancashire and South Cumbria AMBIT trainers. These trainers, who are employed across various sectors including Health, Local Authority and VCFS in a variety of roles including adoption support and CYP residential care have completed five days of 'Train the Trainer' AMBIT training. 55 professionals completed the 'Train the Trainer' AMBIT course during 2019, over four cohorts across the Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

We have reached that time of year when we are considering our priorities for the next financial year (2020/21) and refreshing our Transformation Plan for Lancashire and South Cumbria accordingly. As we have in previous years, we’re seeking input from all our stakeholders including professionals, children, young people and their parents/carers/families, to ensure we continue to direct our plans in line with the feedback from those that currently receive or will use our services in the future.
Transformation Plan refresh
After the latest update, we entered the election period, known as ‘Purdah’, which has prevented us from being able to advance with the engagement on our Transformation Plan refresh that was planned for November 2019.
Carlisle Eden Mind offer FREE self-harm and suicide alertness training
Carlisle Eden Mind are offering free training for professionals working with children and young people, funded by Cumbria County Council. The training workshops will include case studies, videos and group sessions and will take place all over Cumbria.
New Lancashire and South Cumbria Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic and Assessment Pathway
The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Inspection in Lancashire took place in November 2017. One of the significant areas of concern raised was that ‘ASD diagnostic pathways across Lancashire are of very poor quality’.
