Website co-production opportunities

In the New Year, the communications and engagement team will be visiting several groups as we look to co-produce the webpage content with children, young people, their families and carers and professionals. We have several visits planned to groups such as LGBT at Blackburn Youth Zone, and Headstart and Entwined Minds in Blackpool. As always, we’d like to gain insight from yourselves so if you know of any groups you feel would be good for us to co-produce with, please let us know! Change Talks

From his experiences of working as a nurse and suffering from depression himself, Sam Tyrer decided he wanted to do something to raise awareness to tackle mental health issues facing people in Lancashire. He organised a series of ‘Change Talks’ in 2017 and has never ‘Change Talks’ in 2017 and has never looked back. “I left nursing at the start of January with the support of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and they are helping me develop Change Talks by collaborating with their services including the Children and Young People’s Transformation Programme.

Cumbria and Lancashire Mother and Baby Unit (Ribblemere) and Outreach Service

The new eight-bed mother and baby unit (Ribblemere) is set to open in October 2018 and will be an inpatient facility for mothers with serious mental health problems to access support and treatment whilst remaining alongside their babies.
