Time to Change
6th August 2018
As part of the Children and Young People's mental health and wellbeing transformation we are committed to challenging preconceptions about mental health and ending mental health stigma. Therefore, we are proudly championing Time to Change and the social movement they have created over the last ten years.
Time to Change is the growing social movement changing how we all think and act about mental health. Still too many people are made to feel ashamed or isolated because they have a mental health problem but Time to Change is changing this.
We supported Time to Talk Day back in February, which is about everyone having conversations about mental health, so that people with mental health feel less ashamed and isolated. We want to share awareness and get conversations started, however big or small, and it’s up to us to continue with the momentum across all of Lancashire.
If you would like to join us on our journey please follow us on Twitter, contact Katie Yates, Communications and Engagement Specialist by emailing katie.yates@nhs.net or a member of the team on 01772 214218 or via email healthyyoung.minds@nhs.net. You can also visit the Time to Change website at https://www.time-to-change.org.uk/.
2018 is going to be a busy year in Lancashire which will see us building upon the great work that is already happening all over the county to address anti-stigma.
