MH:2K Central Lancashire: A youth-led approach to exploring mental health
4th March 2020
MH:2K seeks to give young people a role in solving this most important of challenges. Focussing on those with mental health issues and from at-risk groups, it empowers young people to shape decision-makers’ understanding of both the mental health challenges they face and what solutions could look like.
In 2017, MH:2K began the process of collating information from young people and their mental health. Over three months, the Citizen Researchers co-led 36 workshops for their peers, engaging 1,145 other young people in Central Lancashire. They recently published the findings from their engagement sessions and are currently still meeting to steer the recommendations from the report. You can read the report here.
